We had a great nights sleep with the AC on as high as it could go. The owner of the hotel drove us back to the trail head around 8am. Today was going to be almost as hot as yesterday with a high of 100 degrees. Due to the heat, we planned on only doing about 10 miles today. 10 miles is a very short day by normal standards. On a normal day, we often completed 10 miles by noon. Today we stopped hiking during the heat of the day from 12:30 to 4:00 at Lake Tiorati in order to avoid the heat.
Tomorrow is suppose to cool off so we will do a normal mileage day.
