This Should Be Interesting

Today was the day that Kristen's parents were going to camp overnight with us. We have been waiting for this day for quite some time. Kristen and I truly didn't know what to expect but one thing was for sure, we knew it was going to be an interesting night.

Capt. Karl went camping quite often back in his days in the Air Force in Montana but Diane...well that is a different story. We mentioned to Diane that we saw another black bear today, that makes it two bears in the past two days. Surprisingly, that was not what concerned her the most. "Where is the bathroom," she said. Luckly we were camping in a state park so there were bathrooms close by.

When it was all said and done, we had a great time. Capt. Karl and Diane had picked up some fried chicken, corn and potato salad. We had all the red wine we could drink and we listened to Cream, The Eagles, and George Strait through our iPod speakers. Luckly the night was pretty cool, so we made a good fire and made smores. It is important to note that Capt. Karl thought a smore was called a "Bortz." We gave him a hard time for awhile.

Diane does get the gold star of the camping trip for her wood gathering ability. Well done.

A big thanks to the Zitiello Family for the camping gear for Capt. Karl and Diane
